If an implant has been put in at an angle, is it impossible to fit a crown that stays fixed (canine) many thanks - depressed.

Every clinical case is unique and so it is impossible to give you a specific recommendation without examining you.
In general terms - it is sometimes possible to anchor an angled custom abutment to an implant that is in a less than optimal location. This can then have a crown placed on it.
