Dental Implants FAQs
Dental Implants for front teeth
Q.
I have a missing upper front tooth – at the moment I have a little denture but I want a solution where I don’t need to take it out every day – could dental implants help me?
A.
In the vast majority of cases – yes – dental implants can give you a predictable long term solution where you will have a fixed highly natural new tooth which so that you can smile and chew with total confidence. Your dentist will assess your general health and the health of your mouth + importantly, the quality and quantity of bone in your jaw where the missing tooth is. Even if not enough bone is there – it is often possible to add to the existing bone by harvesting bone from another part of your mouth. This process is called bone augmentation. A single tooth implant is a very predictable way to replace a missing tooth.
