Dental Implants FAQs
Unhappy with Dentures
Q.
I currently wear full dentures as I had all my teeth extracted many years ago. I am unhappy with my dentures as they are loose and have started dropping down. Is there anything I can do?
A.
One of the most successful parts of implant dentistry is where implants are placed to support a special custom denture. Often only two or three implants are required which are then joined with a special metal bar. The bar fits into a special attachment on the fitting surface of the denture fixing it securely in place. The feeling of having your denture so secure is wonderful, chewing is no longer a problem and there is no risk of the denture moving or dropping down when you laugh or speak. The first thing to do is arrange a consultation with a dentist who specialises in dental implants; at The Dental Clinic we can facilitate this for you with ease.
