Oral Hygiene

Here are a few tips to keep in mind when thinking about oral hygiene:

  • Brush your teeth at least twice a day, using toothpaste with fluoride. Don’t neglect your back molars!

  • Brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth.

  • Floss at least once a day, before you go to bed.

  • Visit the dentist at least once a year for a professional cleaning and check-up. If you ever experience pain, extreme discomfort or sustained sensitivity, contact a dentist immediately.

  • Don't consume too many sugary or acidic products, especially between meals.

  • Check out our Nutrition and teeth section to see what food and drinks are good for you and your teeth.

  • Chew sugar-free gum, as it helps generate saliva and can improve dental health.

  • Don’t smoke! It's detrimental for dental health.
