Dentine is the middle layer of the tooth which is underneath the enamel. A dentine bonded crown is a very thin, porcelain only crown which bonds to the dentine and acts very much like an artificial enamel layer.
Dentine bonded crowns gain their strength from the very strong bond that can be created using the latest, highly advanced dental bonding technology.
As well as being strong, they can be attractive and natural in appearance and they have the added bonus that, because they are thin, less preparation of the underlying tooth is required than with other types of porcelain crown.
