Dr Rob Morgan

Dr Morgan has been in general practice for over twenty years. After working in Banbury, Oxfordshire for four years he started his own practice in Warwick in 1989. He sold his practice after ten years and in 1999 became one of the first dentists to work with the then newly formed Boots Dental Care.

When Boots Dental Care became The Dental Clinic, Dr Morgan moved to the practice in Birmingham, where he continues to provide clinical care for his patients.

In addition to his regular clinical treatment sessions, since 1995 Dr Morgan has been a part-time lecturer in clinical practice in the School of Dentistry, University of Birmingham. As well as being actively involved in teaching the dentists of the future, his field of research is in quality assurance, and this has linked with his roles outside the University. Between 1995 and 1999, Dr Morgan worked as part of the team developing the quality in practice scheme for BUPA DentalCover. In this period he visited and assessed hundreds of dental practices across the whole of the country, and gained huge experience in this field. Few other people have as much insight into the standards of private practice in the UK.

This experience has been invaluable for his more recent work with The Dental Clinic, where he is the Head of Quality Assurance. In addition, Dr Morgan is also the Regional Clinical Director for The Dental Clinic practices in the central part of the country. Being passionate about providing the best dentistry Dr Morgan has always regarded continued professional education as vitally important. During his career he has gained extra qualifications as part of his commitment to improving his skills. In 1994 he gained his Diploma in General Dental Practice and in 1995 was awarded a Membership in General Dental Surgery, both from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

In 2004 he gained the prestigious Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, the highest level of qualification available in this field.
